Economic impact assessment of Hydrogen generated from Offshore Wind: A case study for Belgium

Abstract Green hydrogen is increasingly cited as a solution to the decarbonisation of industry. Its large-scale production still recent topic with uncertainties. In this paper, an economic impact assessment (EIA) method explained. A modular and flexible cost model generated, which estimates LCOE (Levelized Cost Energy) offshore wind farm LCOH Hydrogen) generation plant either hybrid renewable energy system (HRES) or independent from each other. The costs are estimated using schedule-based approach, considers reliability, maintenance operations well both plant. Developed EIA demonstrated for Belgium Mermaid Offshore Wind Farm.
